Alan S. Tofighi is an interdisciplinary artist whose work in the field of the composer/performer lies within an interest in free improvisation, concepts of collaboration, gamed processes, and histories of audio culture/technology. Conceptualization, research, otoacoustics, extended techniques, interaction, and listening techniques are used to facilitate said works.
Tofighi has performed/interpreted extracts from the 20th and 21st century new music repertoire and has performed extensively within various formats and sites via the Critical Bands, Safeteam with Isaac Aronson and Fernando Orellana, The Feedback Waveriders, Scott Benzel’s V.I.T.R.I.O.L., with Francisco Marin, FaUSt, Unknown Unknown, Trio Ampliphonic, electronic chamber music Liquid Plastic with Adam Otto Lutz, and toured extensively in The Juliettes.
Tofighi co-founded and maintained the Nouroboros Industrial Concern imprint from it’s inception to it’s closing from the years 2007-2017. The Archive can be accessed here.
