Legal Fictions (LF) is an ongoing cycle of Interdisciplinary work (2012-present) initiated by Alan S. Tofighi. The sequences of work that encompass LF work to determine and recontextualize legality and it’s place in the social construct determined as āthe realā from it’s inception to the contemporary. In all circles legality and law have a clandestine bind, the line is potentially representable as a wall or a mist depending on what it needs to elaborate or hide. LF works to reclaim, warp, and walk through the misty fields of legality and define the contours of said mists/walls. These pieces require research, practice and execution of these strategies into a public sphere via infiltration and immersion in these forms.
