About Legal Fictions

Legal Fictions (LF) is an ongoing cycle of Interdisciplinary work (2012-present) initiated by Alan S. Tofighi. The sequences of work that encompass LF work to determine and recontextualize legality and it’s place in the social construct determined as ā€œthe realā€ from it’s inception to the contemporary. In all circles legality and law have a clandestine bind, the line is potentially representable as a wall or a mist depending on what it needs to elaborate or hide. LF works to reclaim, warp, and walk through the misty fields of legality and define the contours of said mists/walls. These pieces require research, practice and execution of these strategies into a public sphere via infiltration and immersion in these forms.
